Forums Policy If you have any suggestions, hints or comments for our forums, please write to webmaster@britishcomputerfairs.com. Participation in the forums and exchange of e-mails with other users is a matter of continued good practice and courtesy to others. The principal purpose of our forum is to encourage discussion and debate relating to a variety of topics. These discussions and debates are intended to be open and as unfettered as legally possible. To assist the forum, we expect participants in the forum to follow these few basic guidelines as are acceptable for a use policy: 1. You cannot upload to the web site or otherwise distribute or publish through the forum or the web site any matter or material which is or may be considered abusive, pornographic, illegal, defamatory or obscene or racist or which is designed to cause disruption to any computer systems or network. 2. We reserve the right without liability to delete and remove postings which violate our editorial and business policies or which we believe are in breach of these acceptable use policies in respect of our forums. No user shall post any message to the forum which is in violation of these forum acceptable use policies. 3. You should be aware that any forum participants who post messages to forums may make their e-mail address available to others as a result of the software available on our site . Registered forum users may disable this option by editing their profile within the forum. You hereby consent to the disclosure through the software of your e-mail address. We believe and hope that the availability of such e-mail addresses can facilitate the growth of an on-line community within our forum and ensure that participants in the forum take a level of responsibility for their postings. 4. Any issues relating to the use of e-mail addresses in forums can be sent to webmaster@britishcomputerfairs.com 5. The forum cannot under any circumstances be used for commercial purposes by any participant. The purpose of the forum is simply to facilitate debate and discussion in respect of the subjects that arise. In effect, the forum is intended to be used for that purpose only and accordingly no participant in the forum may post, publish or distribute material containing any advertising, promotion, solicitation of funds or goods and/or services. 6. We do not and cannot review every message posted in the forums. Accordingly, we are not responsible for the content of the postings and messages. However, we hereby reserve the right to remove, edit or delete postings that in our opinion are abusive, racist, obscene, defamatory, in violation of any intellectual property law, any applicable law, or otherwise unacceptable. 7. Further, we reserve and retain the right or ability to remove the ability of participants to post comments in the event of any breach of these acceptable uses. 8. We will enforce appropriate sanctions against any of our forum users or customers who are responsible for abuse of the forum. Such sanctions may include, but are not limited to (a) a formal warning, (b) suspension of access through our site or machines, (c) suspension of access to the forum site or termination of any registration of the user with our site. 9. Any user who is engaged in posting off public messages or “spamming” (posting the same message in multiple topics or otherwise disrupting the forums) shall be in breach of this acceptable use policy. Such behaviour is unacceptable for any participant of this forum and may result in the user losing access to our site or any privilege or their ability to post and participate in the forum. 10. We have the right to prohibit any users who violate this acceptable use policy from participating in discussions or debates. You acknowledge that you remain solely responsible for the content of your messages. 11. There is no facility for acceptance of attached files on the forums, and accordingly these are prohibited. 12. We accept no responsibility for loss of data, information in any form or other matters whatsoever which result from the use of the forum. By participating in this forum you acknowledge that you have read and accept the disclaimer notice, copyright notice, customer user agreement and our Privacy and Data Protection policy.
